In the third quarter of 2024, the top five air travel applications in Spain exhibited varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

Ryanair saw a consistent flow of weekly downloads, starting at 24.7K in early July and reaching a slight peak of 27.6K mid-month. However, by the end of September, downloads settled around 23.5K. Weekly active users started at 177K, with a notable increase to 186K by the end of August, before declining to approximately 159K in late September.

Vueling Airlines-Cheap Flights had its weekly downloads fluctuate, beginning with 19.1K and experiencing a high of 22.1K mid-July, then declining to 14.1K in mid-September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 99.4K, peaking at 106.8K, and ending the quarter just shy of 99K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker showed an interesting pattern with its weekly downloads, increasing from 10.4K at the start of July to a peak of 25.8K by mid-August, and then decreasing to 9.5K by the end of September. Weekly revenue for this app also fluctuated, starting at $7.2K, dropping to $5.1K, and rising again to $7K mid-September. Active users increased from 51.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a high of 71.7K in early August, before declining to 53.1K by the end of September.

Iberia experienced steady weekly downloads, starting at 13.8K, peaking at 14.9K mid-July, and ending at 11.4K. Active users showed consistency, starting at 47.4K, peaking at 49.6K, and closing at 45.3K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Wizz Air - Book Flights maintained a fairly stable download rate, beginning at 7K and peaking at 8.2K in early September. Active users demonstrated an upward trend, starting at 35.1K in early July and reaching around 39K by the end of the quarter.
